Tiptoe Through the Tulips

"Tiptoe Through the Tulips" was written by Al Dubin (lyrics) and Joe Burke (music). The "Crooning Troubadour" Nick Lucas had a number one on the US charts with "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" in 1929. He introducing the song in the musical film Gold Diggers of Broadway. In 1968, Tiny Tim made the song a novelty hit in 1968 by singing it on the first episode of Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In.
