Trivia. A guy called Ken Darby actually wrote all of the soundtrack songs
for the movie, Love me tender. He credited this song to his wife, Vera Matson. Colonel Tom
Parker decided to also credit Presley with the writing so he (Parker) could get a cut of the
song royalties for his publishing company, Hill and Range.
